On your estate - your responsibilities

Although the neighbourhood services team in partnership with the cleaning and grounds maintenance contracts strive to keep all communal areas clean and attractive we need your help.Rate an estate picture

You can be a more considerate neighbour, as well as assisting us in our task by:

  • always disposing of your refuse in the correct manner. Please make sure you place rubbish bags inside the chutes or inside the communal bins to your block. Please do not place any bags inside chute rooms or on communal walkways.
  • always recycling where possible. Please use the communal recycling bins on your estate if your provided.
  • making sure you close the main entry door to your block securely when entering or leaving. Always make sure you only open the door for people you know and are expecting. This prevents unauthorised entry into the blocks. If you notice any suspicious looking people in your block please contact the neighbourhood warden service.
  • placing any items of litter in the litterbins or communal bins provided on your estate.
  • reporting any graffiti, vandalism, spillages or dumped rubbish in the communal areas to us as soon as possible.
  • using the service provided by Brent Council to dispose of any bulk items in your house. Dumping these items in the communal areas leads to more unauthorised dumping and is also a health and safety risk.
  • not storing any items on the communal walkways outside your flat. This is both a trip hazard and fire hazard.
  • remembering to always treat neighbours in the same way you like to be treated.
