Grounds maintenance

Grounds maintenance is carried out on communal gardens and grassed areas on council estates only.

 

Wettons cutting the grass

This service is not available for all converted houses with communal gardens. These areas are the responsibility of the residents occupying the property. 


Wettons are responsible for carrying out grounds maintenance duties at all blocks within the borough. These duties include:

 

  • grass cutting 
  • maintenance of hedges 
  • leaf clearance
  • weed killing.


Wettons trimming some hedgesWettons are also responsible for carrying out yearly grounds maintenance improvements which include replacement of damaged grass areas and damaged shrubs as well as additional planting in allocated areas.

Your Estates Services officer carries out quarterly inspections of all communal/grassed areas on your estate to ensure grounds maintenance works are up to standard.

 

Rate an estate

 

All of our estates have been awarded a Local Environmental Quality (LEQ) rating.

 

An LEQ is awarded by officers or residents online after an estate inspection has been undertaken in good lighting; fair weather; and not on a refuse collection day.
