Resident Involvement Strategy 2009-2014

At Brent Housing Partnership (BHP) we are aware there is not only a need for the traditional style resident participation, which has declined over the years but the need to develop alternative ways of involving residents. Resident Involvement Strategy 2009-2014 front cover image

We are committed to addressing the needs of all residents and to look at more innovative ways of involving them in our participation processes, which suit and meet their needs.

We do not want resident involvement to simply tick the right boxes or to have a involvement strategy because everybody else has one. Our main aim is to make sure that residents feel that their participation in our day to day business can influence decisions and make a real difference to the way we deliver our services for the benefit of all residents.

We also want to change the culture of resident involvement within BHP from that of being the responsibility of one team to one where it becomes an integral part of delivering services for every BHP officer.
