Residents who work hard all year round to represent other residents and leaseholders who live on BHP estates took the night off last Monday (17th December) and headed down to our offices to enjoy a Christmas celebration and meet the directors and members of the board.
Invited guests were waited on by staff who organised light refreshments and Christmas jingles.
Tenants also got a chance to speak to each other about what was happening in their area, share information and advice with each other as well as having a jolly time.
Chair of the board Kathy Ellison said: "It was a great evening. As resident representatives we are all out there doing the same job but it's rare that we get to meet up like this have a chat and share our knowledge. It's also refreshing to be around so many people who care about where they live and the people who live there."
Neighbourhood services manager Christina Byrne said: "Our reps work all year round organising activities, keeping us informed of any problems residents have as well as keeping us updated on what's happening on the estates. They give up so much of their valuable time to BHP residents. We thought as a change, it would be nice to look after them for an evening and show our appreciation for everything they do."
