Leaseholders' handbook - insurance
As a condition of your lease, we take out building insurance cover for your property.

The cost is covered in your yearly service charge.

The policy we have taken out insures the building you live in, up to the replacement value of your home. It does not insure the contents of your home. This is your responsibility and you are strongly advised to make your own arrangements.

For most claims you will have to pay an excess. Claims for storms, flood, burst pipes, accidental and water damage have an excess of £100. This means you must pay the first £100 of any claim. For subsidence, the excess is £2,500 for every property.
