Tenant involvement officers play a key role in the lives of many tenants. They often become far more than the approachable face of their employing landlord. They can be a catalyst for delivering real improvements to tenants' lives and are often at the forefront of implementing innovative new ways of involvement. They help to bring about improvements in the communities and are a source of information and reassurance and are often the first port of call when something goes wrong.
Jacqueline said: "I felt really blessed to have even have been considered for such an award, and to take home the trophy was more than I could have asked for. I am passionate about my job and the residents I work with; and I am very happy that I can make a difference to residents' lives. I am representing all the staff at BHP who do a wonderful job and are one hundred per cent committed to the residents of Brent."
Jacqueline has been invited to attend the National ceremony for TPAS, where winners of the Southern, Northern and Midland region will be honoured.
BHP Resident Stephanie Barrett from South Kilburn was also a finalist for the Tenant of the Year category.
