15/10/2009 : BHP recruit for Youth Editorial Board

BHP are in the process of recruiting young people (13 to 18 years) to form a Youth Editorial Board for their Partnership News Magazine, which goes out to 13,000 residents in Brent.

This is part of a drive to get more young people involved in the running of BHP's services. Young people will have the freedom to have their say about issues affecting them within the borough through a forum where they can express their views.

All of BHP's young residents are being targeted through a poster campaign, articles in the Tenants' magazine and by making contact with local youth groups and forums in the area.

Nadia Khan, Editor of Partnership News, said:
"I am very excited about this project and am keen for young people to come on board. We want to give them the opportunity to express themselves in a constructive manner. There will be meetings every three months at Chancel House in Neasden (after school of course) for young people to input their ideas as well as write articles on things that interest them. The possibilities are endless, and we will be looking into providing accredited courses and training for the young people who get involved. "

Any young people who are interested in being on the Youth Editorial Board are being asked to contact Nadia Khan on 020 8937 2363.
